The Department of Computer Science and Engineering strives regularly to conduct workshops on current and upcoming programming languages. Language training sessions are run parallel to the academics, which boosts the programming skills of the students.
This workshop is organized by Reliance Group for the students covering the current technology used for communication and high-speed data transmission. It enhances the knowledge of students to understand the advantages of 4G over 2G/3G technology.
The students are enrolled in various online courses available through Information and Communication Technology (ICT) mode provided by NPTEL. Final year students have successfully completed the "Non-Conventional Energy Resources (NCER)" course conducted by IIT Kanpur as a mandatory requirement of the university curriculum.
First-year students participated in an online language training program organized by IIT Bombay under the Spoken Tutorial Project. This program enhances the reading and writing skills of the students.
The FDP conducted by NITTTR, Chandigarh was attended by the department faculties through ICT mode. NITTTR, Chandigarh is one of the best teacher training institutes of the Government that provides basic and advanced training to the faculties of Engineering domains.
Recently, a short-term course over software and web development using ASP.NET with C# and Python has been scheduled, with a duration of about 120 days, conducted within the college campus.
