It gives me immense pleasure to lead the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The Department of
Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 2010. The Department offers the B.Tech (Bachelor in
Technology) with present intake of 60 students. Mechanical Engineering is a multiskilled and evergreen
branch of engineering. There are wide growths of mechanical engineering in various fields like
automotive system, manufacturing, repair and maintenance, automation and control, robotics,
nanotechnology, food industries, airspace engineering, design engineering, dynamic system and control,
power plant engineering, etc.
The Department has well equipped laboratories for the students. Some of these laboratories are
Mechanics, Material Science, Kinematics of Machines, Heat & Mass Transfer, Refrigeration & Air
Conditioning, Internal Combustion Engines, CAD/CAM, Fluid Mechanics etc. Department provide practical
industry based technical and professional education to the students for boundless growth. The institute
and staff primary importance are to motivate, inspire, build trust and confidence the students in
solving industrial case study by undertaking various projects, industrial visits & training. This
department has dedicated and competent faculty members to impart quality education, project guidance,
personality development to enable them to be placed with a reputed organizations. We provide various
opportunities for students to participate in various technical and sports events/competitions at
state/zonal level.
My vision & aim is to impart theoretical knowledge to aspirants while focusing on practical knowledge
by technical workshops, seminars, industrial visits, internships, in-house workshop & lab trainings. The
mechanical engineering department is committed to create stress free atmosphere for the development of
young brains into bright professionals of future. I believe that in the years to come the department
will continue to be the initiator in offering an order of curricular and co-curricular activities in
order to achieve academic excellence. A large number of our brilliant students have been recruited in
multinational companies, Navratan companies at India as well as abroad.
