Workshop is the mainly to understand the initials of engineering. Workshop is used for the manufacturing of work piece having defined geometric shapes and dimensions as per drawing. Manufacturing process has been chosen on the advantage gained by particular processes. Metal removal process produces smooth surface. Welding provides a convenient method of fabricating .
Sheet metal operation produces light weight sheet metal parts economically in less time. Casting process produces the most complicated shapes in single step. Main workshop integrals are given below:
Machine shop is a place where material removal processes are carried out. A machine which performs the material removal process is known as machine tool.
Welding is a permanent metal joining process in which fusion is obtained by application of heat and/or pressure. Combination of these two variables may be high temperature with no pressure, high pressure with less rise in temperature or both high temperature and high pressure.
Foundry shop is used to produce intricate shapes of products in one piece and that too very economically. Metal casting process consist of making patterns and moulds, preparing and melting the metal, pouring liquid metal into the moulds and then allowing it to solidify.
Sheet metal processes are one of the cheapest and fastest ways of manufacturing the sheet metal components. Our shop is equipped with the necessary tools and machines to provide students hands-on experience with sheet metal operations.
Forging is one of the oldest metal working process known to mankind. In this phase, metal is heated below its melting point and then squeezed or pressurized between two or more dies to deform its shape and size in such a way that required final shape is obtained.
Bench work and fitting plays a significant role in every workshop. Although now a days these jobs can be finished to desired accuracy with the help of automatic machine, still they required some operations to be done manually by hand.
Wood is available naturally in the form of trees and also synthetic wood is there for making wood products. Various forms of wood have been used as engineering material since thousands of years. In this shop, students will learn about wood working and related tools that are being used in wood industry now days.
